Dit ben ik

Mijn dromen en ambities

Vorig jaar ben ik na een periode van 6 jaar in het buitenland terug verhuisd naar Nederland, het begon toch weer te trekken. Sindsdien ben ik (tot nu toe) zonder succes op zoek naar een baan. Ik heb uitgebreide ervaring op het gebied van Electronische Distributie van hotels. Hierbij kan gedacht worden aan CRS en GDS systemen, maar ook de relatie met OTA's zoals Expedia en Booking.com.

Werkervaring

February 2010 – August 2014: Distribution Content Manager
Louvre Hotels Group, La Défense, France (Head Office – Worldwide hotel chain
of 1100 owned, managed and franchise hotels in the 1 to 5 star segments)
Leading a team of 6 Distribution Specialists as well as outsourcing work to
various internationally operating companies. Activities are carried out for
hotels in 40 different countries under 7 different brands, 2 chaincodes (GT &
NN) on 2 Central Reservation Systems as well as all Global Distribution
Systems, 3rd Party Websites, Online Travel Agents (OTAs) and Extranet
Partners.
• Leading the Central Reservation System (CRS) migration project for
the Golden Tulip chain from the Pegasus RezView Classic CRS to the
Pegasus RezView NG CRS.
• Coordinating the integration of hotel information for two chains onto
one shared system, thus enabling shared processes between the
chains, despite operating different CRSs.
• Implementation of Channel Management software onto the CRS. In this
way, hotels can update rates for extranet sites from their CRS.
• Adapting tools and procedures, so that hotel information updates, new
hotel builds and rate loadings can be done with the same tools for both
chains.
• Establishing a new Electronic Distribution department that operates for
both chains. This involved hiring new staff that had to learn the job
from scratch as well as redefining tasks and responsibilities for staff
that already worked for the company.
• Defining department budgets and ensuring that departmental costs
remain within these budgets.

August 2008 – February 2010: Assistant Distribution Manager
Golden Tulip Hospitality Group, Lausanne, Switzerland (Head Office –
Worldwide hotel chain of managed and franchise hotels)
Working with a team of 3 Distribution Specialists and 3 trainees, which is
responsible for all Data Management activities related to Central Reservation
Systems, Global Distribution Systems and Alternative Distribution Systems.
This team provides services for 450 hotels under 4 brands on all continents.
• Controlling and ensuring Service Level Agreements for both internal
and external parties, whilst guaranteeing constant quality.
• Automating system integration between various applications used in
the department.
• Setting up manuals and SOPs for system usage and daily processes.
• Controlling and enhancing data integrity between the various systems
used in the department.
• Working together with suppliers to enable system enhancements and
upgrades in a timely and accurate manner, according to the standards
required in the company.
• Conduct system trainings for hotels and together with the distribution
manager, act as central point of contact between external distribution
partners, properties, and demand entities.
• Providing hotels with tips and advices to maximise on their Revenue
Management, both on individual basis and through classroom training.
• Assisting the Distribution Manager in departmental organisation,
training and recruiting.

December 2006 – August 2008: Team Leader Data Management

Maintaining and controlling data integrity between the various reservation and
booking systems that are supplied to hotels. Next to that guiding and coaching
trainees and Distribution Systems Specialists within the department.
• Application of data integrity within all department processes. This
includes quality control, monitoring of workflows and looking for means
to increase department efficiency.
• Monitoring Service Level Agreements for in- and external clients.
• Selecting and coaching of trainees.
• Assisting hotels, travel agents and other liaisons with Reservation
Systems related queries.
• Liaising with Distribution Systems providers, in order to obtain
connectivity with the group’s Central Reservation System.

2002 – December 2006: Distribution Systems Specialist
Golden Tulip Hospitality Group, Amersfoort, Netherlands (Head Office –
Worldwide hotel chain of managed and franchise hotels)
Working in a team of Distribution Systems Specialists, responsible for the
smooth running and the data integrity of the Central Reservation System and
booking systems attached to this system.
• Data loading and central database maintenance (rates for proposals,
property information and policies, photos, special offers, monthly
revenue results, etc).
• Migrating from an existing Central Reservations System to a new, more
advanced Central Reservations System.
• Developing and improving data integrity and data warehousing
procedures.
• Assist Hotels with CRS and GDS related queries.

2001 – 2002: Distribution Systems Coordinator
Golden Tulip Worldwide, Hilversum, Netherlands (Head Office – Worldwide
hotel chain of managed and franchise hotels)
Coordinating the workflow of Data loading requests done by hotels, under
supervision of the Director of Distribution.
• Controlling Service Level Agreements of suppliers.
• Assisting hotels and travel agents with reservation related queries.
• Compiling management reports, in order to monitor transaction levels.
