Ik ben geboren en getogen in Den Haag. Na het afronden van mijn opleiding HEAO, heb ik jaar in Tanzania gewoond. Daar heb ik gewerkt als leraar wiskunde, statistiek en informatica aan een accountantsopleiding in Mwanza.

Na terugkomst in Nederland ben ik begonnen als stafmedewerker technische dienst bij Agfa-Gevaert verantwoordelijk voor financiële zaken en automatisering. Vervolgens als Controller bij ITT werkzaam geweest. De opleiding qualified controller (HOFAM) heb ik succesvol afgerond plus een aantal automatiseringsopleidingen.

Daarna ben ik verhuisd naar onze huidige woonplaats Drunen. In Brabant heb ik gewerkt bij Daelmans Banket, Orffa,
Uniekaas en Vanderlande Industries. In al deze functies was ik verantwoordelijk voor het financiële beleid.
Daarbij veel ervaring opgedaan met banken, fiscus, accountants, etc.

In 2011 heb ik de kans gegrepen om als financieel adviseur te gaan werken in Tanzania.
Na afloop van het contract gevestigd in Drunen.
Daar ben ik nu werkzaam als financieel adviseur MKB en interim manager.
